To start things off, I bought an HP Gaming PC back in 2021 TG01-1000 series. I decided that I wanted to upgrade the PC's components over time and decided to upgrade the RAM and add a second Hard Drive during a Black Friday sale in 2022. Everything was working fine, until around summer of 2023, I began to receive BSODs. At first it didn't seem like a major problem due to how rarely they occurred. Over time, the more frequent they became, the more I looked into what could be causing it. I had a file from a game called "Let It Die" that began to interfere with Windows Defender, the file was b

    graphics card problems

    Hi,

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

    • Turn your computer off.
    • Pull out your video/graphics card.
    • Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
    • Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.
Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

Let us know how it goes.

Random BSOD often, quickly recovers but sometimes crashes

Looking at your logfiles it is clear that all the black screens are due to the graphics card crashing and restarting, each time your system recovers and just occasionally it will actually crash with a BSOD 0x116 stop code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116).

Sometimes following the steps 24,25,26 will be all that is needed to fix this but in addition also make sure there is no build up of dust and reseat the graphics card just to make sure all the connections are good. Sometimes with older graphics cards you need to go back to an older graphics driver. This is trial and error unfortunately and would be the next steps to follow if you continue to get problems.

    • Press Windows key + X and click on
      Device manager.
    • Expand Display Driver from the list.
    • Right click on the Graphic driver and select
      update driver software.

Also, can download the latest version of the graphic card from the manufacturer website.

Hope the information is helpful. Please revert back with the necessary information and we’ll be glad to assist you.
