Windows 10: PC does not restart, goes to black screen and forced to shut PC off

    PC does not restart, goes to black screen and forced to shut PC off


    I've been struggling with this for weeks, I have my power set to high-performance, and fast boot is turned off.

    Every time I try to restart. it hangs on a black screen like it's sleeping and the monitor turns off, I am then forced to turn off the PC and turn it back on again.

    I have no sleeping/hibernation function enabled so I have no idea how to fix it.

    Screen goes black with no warning, then restarts the pc

    This started happening about a week ago, and it occurs almost once a day. The screen suddenly goes black for a second or so, then the pc restarts, it goes through the welcome screen etc.

    I get no warning at all. Its not because overheating, because sometimes it happens after I've only been logged on for 30 mins and there's no heat coming from the tower. Sometimes it happens hours after I'm on.

    The pc is about 3 years old. It's AMD A10-7700K Radeon R7, 10 Compute cores 4C+6G 3.40 GHz

    Screen goes black?!

    Hey guys
    I would appreciate your help.
    Lately while using the pc either in gaming or internet screen goes black. the computer works (it wont restart or something)
    i got rampage iv extreme edition.
    fault code on the motherboard is: 40 - OEM post memory initialization codes
    i have to restart the pc to make it work.
    any ideas?
