Windows 10: PC does not start up after update to WIN 10?

Hello, everyone,

I have an Asus Notebook about 4-5 years old. The performance values are quite reasonable. (I'll gladly answer more system details upon request). The device was shipped with Windows 8.1 and I saw no reason to change anything.

On Sunday morning the Corona idea of Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition was born in the circle of friends. Said, bought, delighted. Unfortunately only possible with Windows 10 (had black spots in the picture with 8.1 despite comp. mode).

So I updated to Windows 10 using the Windows Upgrade Client.

I realized shortly after the upgrade that I had definitely lost some performance. But everything worked out fine and we were able to relive our childhood in an epic 7 hour arms race

Yesterday at the end of the day, the continuation was on the agenda. But my PC hung up.

When I performed an "emergency shutdown" by pressing the off button, Windows did not boot anymore.

After having performed every possible repair tool Windows offered me, I had nothing left but to accept a reset.

But not even that works.

"The PC could not be reset. All files were kept."

Anyone got any advice?

Start bar and Alt+Tab stop working after PC is on after awhile

After running Win10 without any major issues since its' release about a week ago I started encountering an apparently pretty common issue with the start bar not working. Along with the start bar not being accessible, when I try to use alt+tab, it also does
not work. When I first logon to my PC it works fine but after awhile the issue appears. I've read through the various publications online detailing the steps of:

• Running /sfc scannow
• Re-installing windows apps
• Repairing windows update
• Lastly, I have reset my PC (while keeping my files)

After going through all of the above, the issue still appears..

My next step is to create another account and use that, before I do that, does anyone else have any other suggestions for this issue?

when a big update in win 10 or win 10 pro comes, ... i will have choice to backup PC after apply update...?

• Do you want to back up the previous Operating system?

Yes you have the choice to take back up your operating system any time after update in Windows 10.

Follow the below steps to check how to take a backup.

• Press Windows + X keys and select Control panel.
  
• Change the category to Large Icons and Select back up my PC.
  
• Select set the backup drive.
  
• Follow the on screen steps.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
