Windows 10: PC doesn't go to sleep mode but only turns screen off

I've recently started experiencing this problem and I just can't seem to fix it, I've watched many tutorials on YouTube and the problem still resumes, my computer just doesn't turn off when I put it to sleep mode and only turns off the screen but once I move my mouse, it turns back on.Help will be greatly appreciated.

PC turns on straight away after sleep mode is on

I see that you system is still on even if the sleep mode option is turned on. This might be due to the change in the power plan settings.

Please follow the below methods and check if it works,

Method 1: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting on the left pane, click on
  View All.
• Click on Power to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Type Power Options and then Enter.
• In the left pane Select Change when the computer sleeps.
• Select Restore default settings on this plan.
• Restart the computer and check with the issue.

PC powers on, doesn't turn on

{but I noticed that my pc turned off, it was the second time it turned off by itself, first time was yesterday,}

On a Fresh/Default Install of windows the power management will turn off the pc /sleep after 20min and the harddrive will spin down also after 20mins
Control Panel > Power option , set sleep and turn off Harddrive to 0 mins
some pc take longer to resume from sleep or hibernation mode - I never and don't recommend using it
