Windows 10: PC ethernet connection cutting out after new security update.

Once the below update was installed my ethernet connection keeps cutting out about every 15 seconds then reconnecting.Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 Version 1.421.573.0This is the only new update on my device. My network adapter is a tp-link 10GB TX401. Shows up in device manager as Marvell AQtion 10Gbit Network Adapter.My ethernet connection was fine before this update. When open command prompt and run ping 8.8.8.8 -tr I get request time out every 15 or so seconds then it reconnects right after. WiFi has no issue with steady connection. The same pr

New Windows 11 Professional PC not recognized by router with wired ethernet connection?

• Did you check if you have any wireless (wifi/Bluetooth) connection port open or trying to connect when Ethernet port is communicating?
• Do you have any security software installed on the computer?
• What exactly happens when you try to connect to the internet?
• Which Troubleshooter did you run which notified 'protocol is missing'?
• Did you verify whether the relevant drivers are the most up to date ones available on manufacturer's website?

Now, as an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check for the latest updates in Windows 10 which helps the PC to make optimal use of Windows 10 capabilities as well as fixing any missing links in performance of the operating
system.

To check for updates now, go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select
Check for updates. If Windows Update says that your PC is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.

Next, follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter:
