  1. PC failing to boot up.

HelloSo for the past two days I had been trying to install the windows microsoft store on windows 11 with no luck because there was no sign of it being on my computer and an error message would always pop when i tried anything that was supposed to redirect me to the app. I used powershell admin commands, Windows button + R and did wsreset.exe, I went into services and restarted the store installer service, uninstalled my antivirus, and rebooted my pc multiple times.None of this seemed to work so I decided to completely reset my computer locally using settings. The computer was in the process o

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.

First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

    Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".

    PC failing to boot up.

Windows 10 Creators Update Installed Now PC Fails to Boot

    Hi Antony,

One of the possible reasons why your PC fails to boot into normal mode are broken components on the boot configuration data of your system. To isolate your concern regarding your Windows 10 Creators Update, we suggest that you perform the following
steps to trigger Safe Mode through the
    Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)
option. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • Improper shutdown process
      • Turn on your computer. When the Windows logo is visible, unplug the power source of your computer. Perform this step three times.
      • On the fourth time that you turn on your computer, just simply wait for the
Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) window to appear.
    • On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and click
      Restart.
    • Once your computer restarts, you will see a list of options. Press the
      F4
key to start your computer in Safe Mode.

We also recommend that you perform a system restore after booting into safe mode.
This option takes your PC back to an earlier point in time. Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made. To do this, follow the steps
    below:

    • Right-click the Start button, and then select Control Panel.
    • Search Control Panel for Recovery.
    • Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.
    • Choose the restore point related to the problematic app, driver, or update, and then select Next > Finish.

Let us know if the solution above works for you.
