  1. PC fan randomly ramps up while idle

The other day I spilled some water near my setup's power strip. I quickly turned it off, but after some inspection I found that no water ended up getting into any electronics. I turned it back on and everything seemed to work just fine, but I noticed that when I'm not using my computer but it's still turned on fully turned on, not in sleep/hibernate, the CPU fan will ramp up for a few seconds and then ramp back down. This also happens when the screen is black and I make a mouse movement, waking it up. Any help would be appreciated!

    Specs:

    Windows 10 64-bit

    AMD Ryzen 5 1600 CPU

    16GB RAM

  2. Fan going crazy . . .

Hi Somebody50, I have a few suggestions that shouldn't be that difficult.

    1) Check for a BIOS update. While you're at the manufacturers website, check for chipset and display drivers or other recommended driver updates. Please ask if you require assistance.

    2) If your PC is still misbehaving after updating drivers, perform a clean boot to determine if any third-party apps are creating or contributing to this fan issue.

Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts

    3) Please update your details under "My Computer" and list a model number, cpu and drive info (SSD or HDD).

    4) Check if you have any warranty coverage available.

There are more tests available if these don't provide sufficient info, one step at a time.

    Bluetooth still on while idle

Thanks for following the steps. Now, the settings won't take effect if you are only using normal PC idle mode. Normal functionality of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are to stay connected even if PC is idle. With the settings that you have created, we would
suggest that you set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or
    Hibernate
once idle. In this way, the settings "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" should take effect.

To set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or Hibernate when idle, please follow these steps:

    • Open Control Panel, set view by: Small
      icons.
    • Look for Power Options.
    • Click on Change when the computer sleeps on the left pane.
    • Set a timer.

Please try it out. Hope it helps. If you have any other concerns, don't hesitate to come back to us.
