    My pc freezes and crashes while playing fortnite

    As the tilte suggests i have been experiencing my pc freezing and crashing while i play fortnite (havent tested any other games). To begin with ive been experiencing fortnite crashing mid game for the past week. I updated drivers windows 10 and unistalled fortnite and installed it again. After the windows update i think that the problem expanded to my pc freezing and crashing. To save you some time i have Autoruns from a previous crashing issue

    BSOD and freezing while playing video games


    Done. The BIOS is updated, and so far I've seen the following improvements:


    • Rocket League no longer freezes on the developer's logo. I was actually able to play for a few minutes before the game crashed to the desktop.
    • Besiege still crashes about 5-10 minutes in, but it crashed to desktop rather than causing a BSOD.
    • World of Warcraft actually allowed me to change the resolution, and I was able to play for a minute or two before it crashed to desktop.

    Do you think it might be time to try and install the graphics card (Radeon HD 7970) I've got on hand, and see how things go from there?

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
