Windows 10: Pc freeze problem

So this started like last week where i get these small lags when my pc freezes for like 1-3 seconds. It can happen when i play games or just browsing. It happens probably like 2 times every hour. This is a problem for me because when i play csgo and im shooting towards someone and everything just lags and i die. It's a small problem but it is really frustrating. And just today while i was playing Arma 3 my pc completely froze and i had to restart it by holding down the button on the case
I have been googling for solutions but i haven't found anyone yet.

Windows 10 Freezes

I'm running Windows 10 Pro version 1703. I'm having a problem with my PC freezing for a few seconds. When the PC freezes I hear the Connect and Disconnect sounds. Even when I'm not working on the PC I still hear when the PC freezes. The problem seems to
have started after I enabled Windows voice recognition but even after setting the voice recognition not to start at startup the PC still freezes. I've even reinstalled Windows without any success. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Hi,

I have two PC's, one running a standard version of W10 Pro and another running W10 Pro Insider Preview. The generic freeze only occured on the W10 Pro Insider Preview PC, where restoring the Intel drivers finally fixed it.

Unfortunately, "out of nowhere" the generic freeze problem started on my standard W10 Pro PC as of september 8. It only occurs (until now) during the first 20 minutes after start-up. Re-installing the Intel drivers on this PC does NOT solve the problem.

It appears the generic freeze problem is expanding...

 

Hi is the drivers for your graphics card up to date or for your hard drive also have you checked that your BIOS is up to date as these can cause the problem you have

 

for the graphics card, yes, i dont really know how to update the BIOS or the harddrive but i will try to find it out, ty for your reply

 

edit: my bios and my harddrive is both up to date.

 

Go to the Nvidea website>forum and search for nvlddmkm and find the post by jimbonbon. It is quite lengthy but comprehensive and may have a possible solution for your problem

What error codes do you get in Event viewer>Custom views>Administrative events?Have you selected each one and read the details.then gone to ONLINE HELP?What solution,if any,did that give?Have you read the article given in my previous suggestion?There are many variables in this type of problem and rarely a quick fix.Trial and error is the normal way.

 

i think it might be solved, i dont remember how i fixed it though -.-
