Windows 10: PC freezes after certain amount of time, often during startup. Only works when random USB...

Hi all, As you can see in the subject, I've got a peculiar case on my hands. My laptop Windows 10 was working fine, and then after shutting it down, never started up correctly again.After about 15 seconds, it just freezes. Doesn't matter where I got, be it at the acer logo, login screen, when I was fast enough to log in, or if I am in the troubleshoot settings. Weirdly enough, everything works almost as long as I have a random USB plugged in. Then everything works as it should. The moment I eject the USB however, everything freezes again, and I always have to force shutdown the pc with the

PC Freezes for 1-2 seconds when launching certain programs

The PC would freeze for a few seconds when I open certain programs the first time after waking the PC from sleep. It would not freeze if I open the program again after the first time, until I sleep the PC again. Programs that would freeze are e.g. MPC, Potplayer, etc.

-Clean Windows 10 install, twice
-Newest drivers
-New Monitor, New TV

PC Keeps Freezing At Completely Random Times

I suggest you to disable the third party security software (if any installed) temporarily and check if it is cause to issue.

Disable Antivirus:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you
should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Kindly follow the below steps and check if you are able to fix the issue.

I suggest you to run the System maintenance
troubleshooter and check if it fixes the issue:

Follow the steps given below:

  Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Control Panel

  Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the
  Control Panel.

  Click on View all
  on the left navigation pane.
  
• 
  Click on System maintenance.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the
  System maintenance
  dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).

  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the

Run these commands:

  Press Windows key and type Powershell
  in search, right click on it and Open as administrator .

  Type the following command in Powershell and hit enter:
  
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Random freezes or shut downs

Completely random freezing/shutdowns on a system with no recent hardware changes, and hard drive, memory, and PSU fine, usually means a software issue (file corruption or malicious software). I suggest following DavidV's recommendations.
