  1. PC freezes and then crashes a few minutes after closing a game.

Hi. I've been having this issue for a little while now where when I close a hardware-intensive game on my pc, specifically games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Last of Us Part 1, it'll be absolutely fine for about 5-10 minutes. After 5-10 minutes my video output will either freeze or go black but if I'm listening to music or watching a video the audio will still play for about 30 seconds to a minute before the whole PC shuts down completely. I've tried updating all my drivers. I've checking event viewer everytime it crashes but no errors show. I've run memtest86 to see if my memory is fa

PC screen freezing/crashing after closing games

My PC crashes/freezes after closing games. Sometimes very soon after sometimes 10 minutes later and sometimes never.

The crashes/freezes come in a few forms. Most often the screen will freeze and the system is unresponsive, sound stops etc. Sometimes the screen will turn black, sound will continue for a short moment and then stop. It has never BSOD on me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Game crashing all the time / PC freezes sometimes

Since about a month I have the problem that a game (Grand Theft Auto V) is crashing all the time. Sometimes the complete PC freezes too so that it displays the old image e.g. a few minutes ago (completely unresponsive, only restarting the PC helps). The time is not predictable, when it crashes. At one time it crashes after five minutes, another time it crashes after half an hour. But one thing is sure - it will crash.

I have contacted the Rockstar Support and they say they can't help me anymore. Things I did asked by the Rockstar Support:

    • reinstalled the game and Social Club multiple times
    • deleted game files in AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTA V and Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club
    • deleted C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTAVLauncher.exe and restored via Steam option Verify integrity of game files
    • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc /scannow multiple times
    • uninstalled another app, which should be responsible for network timeouts/blocking
    • switching to story mode/second character
    • submitted the export of msinfo32 including crash reports to the support
    • changed firewall settings

    Things I tried myself:

    • played in Safe Mode
    • changed graphics settings
    • removed OC
    • updated to latest Nvidia driver (436.15)
    • updated Windows 10
    • checked the event log, but there is no entry
    • executed memtest86 without problems
    • made a stress test with FurMark without problems

I don't have expierenced similar problems in other games/apps.

    System configuration:

    • i5-6600K
    • 16 GB RAM
    • Nvidia GeForce GTX 780

    Temperature is always OK.

Launcher.log from GTA V writes something like:

How can I find the cause of this error?

PC freezes 10 minutes after closing games

I've been having this issue for a month now. Out of nowhere my PC suddenly freezes after I close the game I played. It can be fortnite, valorant, or something not even that demanding like rocket league. I can play for 10 mins, 1 hr, or even 5 hours, it still freezes just a few minutes after I close the game.

I've replaced my RAM, ran sfc scannow, updated windows, reinstalled graphics drivers using DDU but the issue still exists. I attached minidump file for reference.
