PC freezes while using 100% Disk, event viewer shows errors 129 and 153

Hello, I have had this issue ongoing with this laptop for over a year now. It is an ASUS Zenbook 14'' UX3404VC. It has 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and the processor is "13th Gen IntelR CoreTM i9-13900H". Running Windows 11 Home.I have sent it in to ASUS for RMA twice and they failed to address it the device is now out of warranty; I also spoke with Microsoft support on the phone but we just ran several checks on the computer. At this point, I think it is likely a hardware issue, but I want to make sure and see if there's anything more I can find out about this issue, and any potential way to

Event Viewer ID 129 and 153 repeating over and over

i was playing video games, and i notice a lot of freezes throughout my gameplay today, and its the first time it kept happening over and over, also the pauses and freezes did not on a load. appears randomly at random times.

and so i checked event viewer, and it turns out i have been getting event viewer warning id129 and 153 over and over just today. event 129 was referring to port0 while 153 was referring to disk 1. i have tried to reinsert the cable of both my ssd and hdd to the motherboard, yet the problem persist. any help is appreciated.

    Windows 10 1607 - Event Viewer shows Warning disk/storahci 129/153

    Hi,

I had Windows 10 1511 on my system with SSD Kingston KC400 256GB.

Everything worked fine, a stable and fast system.

As of update to Windows 10 1607, my system had some kind of freezes (a few seconds or so). It was in fact unusable, because the freezes appeared frequently.

The Event Viewer showed frequently Warning:

    Source "disk" (Event ID: 153):

"The IO operation at logical block address 0x27c1ade for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000023) was retried." (I believe the block address changes each time)

    Source "storahci" (Event ID: 129):

"Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued."

After clean install of Windows 10 1607 the problem still remained, but after the immediate update of KB3176495 those Warnings doesn't appear that frequently, but still appear.

It looks like KB3176495 fixed it, but not really. Perhaps there should be another KB soon to fix it properly.

    Edition: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

    Version: 1607

    OS Build: 14393.51

In "Device Manager" under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" >"Standard SATA AHCI Controller" > "Driver Details" (Driver Files: C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\storahci.sys):

    10.0.14393.0 (rs1_release.160715-1616)

    Cheers

    Update:

    It still appears, too often!

PC freezes while using 100% Disk, event viewer shows errors 129 and 153

    Windows 10 1607 - Event Viewer shows Warning disk/storahci 129/153

I found this thread because I have the exact same issues with my Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140 with Sandisk X110 128GB SSD. Windows ranomly has bluescreens in sleep mode, the event logs say something about "disk failure" "E/A error", "device not found", "raidport0
was reset", and so on. All leading into a direction of disk issue. SMART health shows 100% OK and I am totally sure, the SSD is fine and it's a Windows driver issue. I guess the SSD goes into a sleep modus and Windows cant access it anymore (doesnt wake it
up for whatever reason", and then freezes or bluescreens.

I tried the option with turning HIPM/DIPM off (active means off actually), but this is NOT a solution. Because this means, the tablet has HORRIFIC sleep drain. I tested it with powercfg and it shows, that when I disable HIPM/DIPM, the CPU never goes into
deep sleep modus, and shows a HW of 0%.

    Anyone help please?
