Windows 10: PC Freezing and has to be forced shut-down. Event viewer report and Event with ID 167 every...

I've been having this issue since yesterday and it's very annoying. I was also getting BSODs with the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error code, but now it's just freezing that is happening.I found this thread and followed instructions by Dave, showing how to use the Driver Verifier. UserNotPresentSession issue, Event ID: 73, 167

Windows continuously updates (5-6 Mb/s, HDD 100% usage) the file:

C:\Windows\System32\SleepStudy\UserNotPresentSession.etl

I have hundreds of combinations of two events there (ID: 73, 167)

Event Viewer freezes

Hi,

After upgrade from 1909 to 2004 and after displaying properties of a single event the event viewer freezes.

I can use the up/down arrows while an event property is open but as soon as I close the event property

there is no way to select anything within the event viewer anymore - Have to kill mmc via task manager and

re-open eventvwr again. Same happens with task scheduler but not with services!

Funny enough if I use an other user account on this machine then there is no problem at all.

SFC /SCANNOW did not report any error

Disabling Event ID 1074 to show up at event viewer

In short, you cannot.

You cannot stop that event from showing in the event viewer.

This ID states the shut-off time of the device.

This event ID is an essential action that the device takes.

It will be present in the event viewer by default and that cannot be changed.
