Windows 10: PC Freezing, BSODing or Rebooting itself, been dealing with this for months!

Hello!I have been having an issue with my PC for a few months now where it will either freeze up and I have to flip the power supply switch in the back, the screen will go black and reboot itself, or it will BSOD. I have all my drivers up to date, all the latest Windows updates, I have updated my BIOS, and many other things but I continue to have this issue.. I have spent many hours trying to figure this out and even wiped my PC to try and resolve it and it continues. Any kind of help or recommendation would be greatly appreciated! reboot/freeze problem

my computer runs fine for about 20-30 minutes and then reboots/freezes(sometime it reboots, sometimes it freezes)
i have an evga 680i A1 board, 4x1gig xms2 dhx, q6600, 2x8800ultra's, 2x150gb raptors, pci-e wireless n card.

i have tried running the computer at stock speeds and voltages and have the same problem, so it's not an overclock issue.

it seems to be a software problem. but where do i start? the computer run @3.6ghz can run all night(9hours) orthos stable, but when im using it, it locks up every 20-30 minutes.

any suggestions?

 

Windows freezes on the revolving circle upon reboot

We understand your concern and we will provide the assistance required to help you resolve the issue.

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

• What happens if you do not restart when the blue circle freezes?
• Does the freeze happen only during reboot?

For now, I suggest that you place your computer in Safe Mode and reboot your computer and check if you still experience the freeze. To log into Safe Mode refer to the article provided in the link below

If you get the same symptoms in this mode as well, then I suggest that you check if you hard drive has any errors. To do so follow the steps below

1. Open This PC and then navigate to c: drive.

2. Right click on the drive and select Properties.

3. Then click on the Tools tab and under Error Checking
click on Check.

Occasional PC freeze

Sadly I continue to have the same intermittent problem.

After a spate of further freezes, always soon after morning boot up, last Friday I changed the CMOS battery (needed to remove and replace the graphics card to access the battery). The BIOS reload the last parameter set after the change.

For a few days no problems.

Then yesterday a couple of freezes. After 2 or 3 reboots it was fine for the rest of the day.

This morning:
Boot up - freeze after 10-15 minutes.
Reboot - freeze during BIOS after detecting memory before the list of detected drives.
Reboot - freeze after "loading operating system" message
Reboot - still OK after a couple of hours.

Past experience suggests it will be OK for the rest of the day.

I've run memtest86, OK; Speccy, Crystal Disk Info & Hard Disk Sentinel all report drives OK.

Any thoughts?
