    PC freezing for 5 seconds, audio still playing, beeping noise when trying to scroll.


    Hello, I am a bit concerned about a recent event that happened to my Windows 10 PC and has happened a few times before. I was just watching a video on YouTube when suddenly my PC froze, I could still hear audio. Then, I tried scrolling, moving my mouse but nothing happened and I just heard beeping noises. This lasted for around 4-7 seconds and then unfroze. This has happened like 3 times before, but I just thought nothing about it. This time I tried to investigate, I was Checking my monitoring, I noticed that before this happened, my CPU usage was rising, however that might of been from the

    Screen freezes and beeping noises

    Lately I've been having this error; my screen would freeze or slow down for about 10-20 seconds, and afterwards a number of beeps would play (between 2-5, no consistency between them). After that the PC would continue working as usual, but this has been happening to me on a daily basis.
    I've tried using /sfc scannow but no damaged archives have been found. Does anyone know how to fix?

    I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

    From what you have mentioned, I would suggest you to try these steps to see if it resolves the issue

    Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the playing Audio troubleshooter
