Windows 10: PC froze on lock screen at update restart

I just downloaded the latest Windows 11 update. Upon restart, the screen froze on the lock screen with the clock functioning. Nothing else works, including keyboard and mouse. I tried a cold start with pressing F12 and that simply told me the following: >>Checking Media Presence...... >>Media Present...... >Start PXE over IPv6 on MAC: 88-AE-DD-07-BC-C2. After a minute or so, the monitor returns to lock screen and I cannot access anything.How can I access the PC to disable or delete the offending update?

PC goes into black screen and froze

The monitor has signal. Its just it froze and num lock froze and mouse.

What could be the culprit?

Here is what happened from start.

My brother is browsing the net with facebook and youtube and after a couple of hours, the screen turn to white and froze. So he did a reset and when it boot up it says windows didnt load correctly and it never booted up.

The next morning, i reformatted a new drive hoping its just an OS problem. But the problem is that in the desktop suddenly it will turn to black screen and froze the pc.

Now, made another clean install and when installing AMD driver, during the installation where it should blink and flicker the pc froze with black screen. So this is a gpu issue?

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

Lock screen image changes after restart

Is the account you are signing in to is a Microsoft Account or a local user account?

We suggest that you create a new local user account and see if the lock screen reverts back when your device restarts. You may follow the steps below on how to create a local user account:

• Click the Start button, then select Settings
  > Accounts > Family & other people > Add someone else to this PC.
• Enter a user name, password, password hint, and then select Next.
