Windows 10: PC frozen on blue restart screen but password won't work so I can't use system restore.

I installed Windows 11 but it was very glitchy so I clicked the button to go back to Windows 10. After the reboot, I got the blue screen saying my PC couldn't restart. I tried the Startup option but f4, f5, or any of the other function keys for that matter didn't work. Every other advanced option requires my password. I verified and wrote down my password before the reboot, but it will not work now. I have reset it on microsoft, Nothing works. I can't use any of the advanced options without my password, but my password won't work. I'm completely frozen out of my PC.

Volume Mute Light won´t change color

Before I follow your suggestions, a quick update: as the updating didn´t seem to work I stopped trying and just left it alone for awhile. About a half hour later I looked over and saw that the mute light was now blue. I tried the button but it and the volume buttons did not work at all. On the screen I was told that I needed to reboot, which I did and now the system has returned back to the way it was before: everything works except that the mute light does not change to blue as it should when the speakers are not muted. WTF?
