Windows 10: PC Games for Windows Live

I bought a copy of Fable 3 a long long time ago. I havent played it in years. Also when i did previously played it i was never playing online. I only activated the game and played offline.

Since then it seems i can no longer play the game. I am unable to install the game but i still own my CD Key. I tried to redeem the code through microsoft but it keeps telling me to redeem it on a console.


Now.... I am not a fan of playing Fable on the Console hence the reason i bought the PC version. Is there no way to download the game from official channels? Is there no way to actually redeem the code?


I also heard that some of the codes were switched to Steam. I tried redeeming my code there and it didnt work, guess it was because i originally redeemed it on the Games for Windows Live Store, but the PC version of that is none existent.


I would really like to play this game again, and i also have SEVERAL older games that i got from Games for Windows Live which also will have this same problem.
