Windows 10: PC goes to sleep after a couple minutes, but all sleep settings are set to never

If i don't touch anything for like 5 minutes, my computer goes to sleep and all the leds on my peripherals goes blackI went into my settings for the sleep settings but they all were set to never go to sleep

Windows 11 cannot enter sleep while setting "Screen: turn off after 15 minutes"(default) and "Sleep: PC goes to sleep after 1 minute" then idle 1 minute

Hi Guys,

I am meeting an unexpected behavior: Windows 11 cannot enter sleep while setting "Screen: turn off after 15 minutes"(default) and "Sleep: PC goes to sleep after 1 minute" then idle 1 minute.

Ideally, Windows would follow the power option setting, while the system idle 1 minute, the system will go to sleep, but fail, and Windows keeps working.

Then, I change the power settings: "Screen: turn off after 1minute" and "Sleep: PC goes to sleep after 1 minute", setting done, idle 1 minute, system goes to sleep. and wakeup by KB normally. Once setting the same time value of "Sleep: PC goes to sleep after x minute" and "Sleep: PC goes to sleep after x minute", Windows goes to sleep after idle x minutes. I thought my hardware and driver were set correctly. Manual let system enter sleep, it works normally, and wakeup success.

My questions are:

1. Could someone tell me what happens of above hebavior?

2. What is the interaction between power option "turn off after" and "PC goes to sleep after"?

3. Is there any setting limitation of "Screen: turn off after x minutes" and "Sleep: PC goes to sleep after x minute"?

 

Windows 10 goes to sleep after a couple minutes

I too am having the same problem after clean install of Windows 10. All updates installed. Computer goes into a sleep state after a couple of minutes regardless of any settings.

Have tried all available suggestions including setting screen saver to "none". I don't use screensaver features. No virus or malware detected. No other problems. The only "fix" that works is the BIOS setting, that never allows sleep unless manually forced,
which to me is really not a fix. Dell Optiplex 980 I7. A fix that works would be appreciated. Thanks

No matter what I do in the sleep settings, my computer still goes to sleep after a couple minutes. have changed every setting, nothing works.
