Windows 10: PC goes to sleep and refuses to wake up

As per the title, my pc will go to sleep and then not wake up on key press nor with the mouse. To get it to come back on, I have to press the power button which restarts the PC. There is nothing shown in Event Viewer for why it seems to crash or hang, since the tower is still on but there is no video output nor does the keyboard turn on - mouse is on but no input is registered. I've run the Windows Memory Diagnostic to test the RAM - no errors, it passed.I've uninstalled some windows updates mostly QoL/Security updates no change.I've rolled back GPU drivers 4 versions, no change. Computer Wakes Up From Sleep And Goes Back To Sleep?

Maybe you have something configured to sleep when idle. Check that on your power settings.

 

Task scheduler wakes from sleep/hibernation but PC then goes back to sleep/hibernation

Hi,

I have a HP EliteBook 840 G1 with Windows 10.

I am looking to put my laptop to sleep/hibernation each night at a set time. Then the scheduler will wake the PC at a set time and run a .bat file.

The Windows scheduler wakes the PC fine but after a few minutes it goes back to sleep/hibernation. I would appreciate any suggestions to prevent this.

The laptop is connected to power the whole time and I have disabled auto sleep.
