Windows 10: PC had ~64 destop icons files and shortcuts and all but 12 disappeared into a Onedrive...

My PC appears to have decided on it's own to consolodate my shortcuts only 12 of 64 were left on the desktop plus a "Shortcut to Desktop OneDrive-..." added to my desktop.The 12 remaining icons were in the same locations as left.The other~52 icons appear to have been moved to a new icon "Shortcut to Desktop OneDrive-...".I do not know why they dissapperared and the ones that were left are not the most recently used so I do not know why they were chosen to be left behind.I am a visual location organizer and now having them in whatever order OneDrive decided is not helpful.How do I get the

Creating Shortcuts with Batch File

Threw a program together quick for you. It is attached with source in the other. Use it in place of your VBScript.

It supports:
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run]
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run] [icon index]
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run] [icon file]
CreateShortcut [save shortcut] [path to run] [icon file] [icon index]

If "icon index" is missing, it assumes 0. If "icon file" is missing it assumes "path to run." It doesn't presently support arguments to be added to the shortcut nor modifying the working directory (always assumes same directory as "path to run").

Requires .NET Framework 4.0 to run. Will run natively on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.

 

No outlook.com app shortcut icon in chrome

Uninstalling chrome make's the chrome Outlook.com app https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/hotmail checker i use, disappear from chrome as a shortcut next to the star button for bookmarks and the settings button where i have adblock and google chromecast icon

How do i get it back, i use windows 8.1 64 bit, extremly annoying that i can't get this icon,button back in chrome, please help me *Smile

 

After Creators update, the OneDrive System tray icon disappeared and I can't access settings. File explorer shows folder but not OneDrive Icon.

If OneDrive application doesn't appear on your system tray after performing the steps given above, here's an additional resolution on how to get back your OneDrive icon. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Press the Windows key + R.
• In the Run window, enter %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
• Click OK.
• Make sure that the OneDrive icon in the notification area of the taskbar disappears and then re-appears after a minute or two.
• If the OneDrive icon doesn't re-appear after a few minutes, open the Run window again and enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe
