Windows 10: PC has been crashing every time I put it to sleep or sometimes when it sleeps after idling....

Hey everyone,My pc has been running normally for the past year with no issues, however, recently it has been crashing after I put it to sleep or after my pc sleeps from idling, and I am able to recreate this bugcheck error quite accurately with it having the same error every time where when I wanted to wake my pc from sleep it does not turn on and I had to press the power button to start my pc again, and when I checked the reliability report the error always occurs the moment I pressed enter to wake it.Really hope that someone can help me out with this, Thank you.*************************

My pc is going to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity

Hi Sebastian,

Your PC might be set to sleep once it is idle for 5mins. For you to adjust this setting, we suggest looking into the
Power Options advanced settings. Follow these steps:

• Open Control Panel and click on Power Options.
• On your Preferred plans, click Change plan settings.
• Click Change advanced power settings.
• Expand Sleep and System unattended sleep timeout.
• Set how many minutes you want your system to be left idle before it goes to sleep.

Sleep when not idle

Of late, Win10 Pro has taken to sleeping while viewing lengthy videos, instead of waiting until the PC is idle for the period specified. No changes have been made to power/sleep/screensaver settings or programs.

Not the case in the past. A system image from months ago was restored but spontaneous sleep persists.

Most all suggestions from the Net have been tested. Network, chipset and video drivers are current.

Could this annoyance be the result of a Windows update? If so, which one?

New ideas welcomed.

 

Is it safe to put your pc in sleep mode?

My pc goes to sleep after about 1 hour of idle time. Is it safe to put the pc in sleep mode?

Won't it decrease the lifetime of the gpu, cpu, etc. If they are turned off and on straight-away?
