Windows 10: Pc has issues with drivers, creating files, and when wiped cannot install new os

so, about a month ago, my computer decided to have a stroke and one day no inputs like volume up, functions, anything such as that could be made, creating files was broken and so were drivers, I tried to write a new version of windows over it but to no avail, what can cause such symptoms in a computer?I cannot provide much further information, my apologies.

Remove an OS installation without removing files?

There's no way to keep files and delete OS without installing a new OS. You can create a new partition on that drive, drop your files there and format partition with OS.

 

Getting a new PC tommorow...

• Set up your hardware
• Insert CD/DVD install
• Format a partition of 30GB as a quick format
• Install the OS
• Create a new partition D: for data, and S: for setupfiles
• Put all your install files into S
• Before installing, run windows update
• Once up to date, reboot
• Install AV
• Update AV
• NOW install any drivers
• And then any software
• Top Utils: ccleaner, defraggler, tclock, utramon, winrar, irfanview, wordweb, malwarebytes, speedfan,
• Now create a partition copy of your C: into a hidden partition. If you evey need to reformat, you just copy the setup from the hidden partition
• You might want Acronis Disk Director to do the previous step. Easy

 

Wipe and install Win 7

Confusing.
I assume you mean "not happy" instead of "beyond happy".

At the very least you'll need:

1. A legitimate W7 install disk and Product Key
2. KB976932 Service Pack 1
3. Driver install files
4. KB3020369 Prerequisite for KB3125574
5. KB3125574 W7 SP1 Update Rollup (Windows will be updated to April 2016)

Then follow this tutorial:

Once you have successfully installed W7, the updates listed above and the drivers, install a program like Macrium Reflect and create at least 2 Backup System Images (on different external HDDs).

Once you have created the Backup System Images, you can risk downloading the remaining updates for W7.
I only install the Security-Only updates (and some fixes for them):

You'll also need to apply IE and .NET updates separately.
