Windows 10: pc internet has been deteriorating overtime2-3 years , internet is perfect on other...

my pc internet has been getting worse and worse overtime over the course of 2 or 3 years now. i cannot play online games like i used to, either not being able to connect to the game, or having very bad ping to the point where i either can barely play or cant play the game. my wifi icon in the taskbar is usually at 2 bars and sometimes 3 but NEVER higher. i can usually browse the internet, watch videos on youtube at very low quality. my internet speedtests on the computer are usually under 5 megabytes, but the internet speedtests for my router google home say over 400-540 mbps and 200~ upload

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

Step 1: I suggest you to run the
internet connection troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the internet issue is resolved.

• 
  Press Windows icon key on the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select the top most search result.
  
• 
  Click on View all from the left side panel of the window.
  
• 
  Select Internet Connections,
  click on Advanced and check
  Apply repairs automatically option.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instructions.
  

Step 2: If the issue persist, I suggest you to
uninstall the network adapter
driver from the device manager by following the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand the Network adapter driver from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and click on Uninstall
  option.
  
• 
  Restart the PC to install the network adapters automatically and check if the changes are effective.
  

Step 3: If the issue persist, I suggest you to
update the network adapter driver from the device manager by following the steps below:

• 
  Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and click on
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Expand the Network adapter driver from the list.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and click on Update
  option.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions.

Internet Could Run Out of Capacity in Two Years

A new study by Nemertes Research Group, released on Monday, suggests that consumer and corporate internet use could overload the current web capacity and lead to problems such as online blackouts in as little as two years. This comes after a sudden rise in the popularity of new web content such as video sites like YouTube, music downloads and peer-to-peer file sharing. Internet users are expected to create 161 exabytes of new data this year – to put that into perspective, one Exabyte is approximately equivalent to 50,000 years of DVD-quality video. The group’s co-chairman Bruce Mehlman said the following:

The research suggests that internet providers need to invest as much as $137 billion in new capacity (double what was already planned), with investments of $42 to $55 billion needed in North America alone in the next three to five years.
