Windows 10: PC is connected via ETH Printer as Wifi - unable to connect to printer

I have a PC connected via Ethernet 192.168.1.50 to a switch. The switch is connected via cable to another router 192.168.1.1to LAN port - this is the internet Gateway. Printer is connected via Wifistatic IP 192.168.1.51. All devices is gateway-ed to 192.168.1.1. PC and Printer dont meet. Ping timed out.Also tried running HP smart, but unable to detect the printer. Any ideas?

sharing a printer through wifi connection

I'm trying to share a printer (canon mp730) through a wifi network. My computer (windows vista) is connected to the printer directly. The other computer is windows xp.

When I'm working on the xp machine and press "print", it opens a dialog box and form there I select "find printer". When I click on that, it shows me the printer connected to the Vista machine select print, I get a warning message saying "you are about to install a printer driver on your machine...blah blah". I click "yes" on that and then get a message saying that the server for the printer does not have the correct printer driver installed. What to do? It seems like I've got the latest driver for the mp730 installed on both machines.

 

Canon printer wifi trouble

Hey,

I installed my canon pixma mg3210 with the newest driver and I choose wifi connection.

Eveyrthing works fine until I turn off the printer then my laptop doesn't detect the printer anymore.
Basically, the printer is offline.

 

Printer visible on network but can't connect

Well I had done all of the suggested steps but in wrong order. I updated router firmware, but still couldn't see printer. When I then reinstalled the new driver I had downloaded, it located the printer and all is now running fine. How complex this can get!
