Windows 10: PC is discoverable when Bluetooth is turned on.

I recently got a USB Bluetooth adaptor for my PC because I also recently got wireless headphones. In the Bluetooth settings the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC in Bluetooth Settings" is unchecked. My headphones connect fine without any problems, but my iPhone can see my PC in Bluetooth devices.

Is it possible to not have my PC show on Bluetooth devices searches for safety concerns or am I just being paranoid?

bluetooth - turn off discoverable and searching

When you move away from the Bluetooth screen to another screen, discoverable mode is turned off even though Bluetooth is still turned on. Discoverable mode is only enabled when the Bluetooth screen is on display on the phone.

1.-Turn on your Bluetooth audio device and make it discoverable. The way you make it discoverable depends on the device.

2.-Turn on Bluetooth on your PC if it's not on already.

3.-In action center, select Connect and then select your device.

4.-Follow any more instructions that might appear.
