Windows 10: PC is not going to Sleep Mode. It Shuts Down.

When I want to pause my work and press the Sleep button, it seems like the computer is entering sleep mode, but instead, it shuts down and closes all my apps.

Computer shuts down instead of going in to sleep mode

Since two weeks my Dell laptop is shutting down every time when:

• Closing the laptop
• Pressing the power button short
• Manually via the Start Menu

All these options are set to Sleep Mode and not Shut Down.

PC shuts down after trying to wake from sleep mode.

After my Win 10 PC goes into the sleep mode and I try to wake it, the PC just shuts itself down.
I have not tried much of anything to fix this. Any suggestions ?
