  1. PC is unusable after 2004 update - 100% CPU

My computer updated to 2004 two days ago and it is unusable. It takes 5-15 minutes to login or start a program, then the program is unresponsive. Web browsing is impossible. I'm running Win 10 Home.

CPU is at 100% constantly. Disk is at 100% some of the time, but sometimes it is normal usage.

Someone said to revert to a previous version, but I don't know how to do that. I thought once you updated to a major new version, you could not roll back to a previous version. Also, even if I did, how could I prevent 2004 from being installed again?

How can I solve this problem? Please help!

    :)

    2004 Update Renders PC unusable

Updated to Windows 10 version 2004 last night and now the PC is nearly unusable. It took more than 14 hours. When I'm able to run the Task Manager, I see that only 5% of CPU, 32% of RAM, and 2% of Disk (SSD) is being used. I have over 380 GB of disk
space, so none of those are a problem. Clicking on the Windows Icon fails (start menu never shows up), so can't even reboot properly. Had to go to a different computer to post this. I would wait for this update to stabilize before updating to it. Very
poor quality control. I'm going to reinstall 1909.

build 1909. Any suggestions would help.
