PC keeps going on to a sleep cycle

I have never ever decided to go to a forum to ask a problem by myself about pc’s troubleshooting. However that changes now. The problem that I have with my pc is that it keeps going to sleep within seconds after I turn it on. I got no time t even type my password to log myself in. Making it worse, it consistently happens and thus my PC is completely out of use.

I also think it is safe to say that NO! any solution on the internet IS NOT HELPFUL since it requires you to log into your pc first.

open control panel? No can’t do!

use safe boot? Problem still occurs!

Clean Boot? Nope, still no can’t do!

    information about my pc:

    Acer’s Nitro 5

    is 7 weeks old

    Intel i7 2.2 Ghz

8 GB of Ram + Intel optane

    Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050

    :)

PC does not go to sleep

Since the Windows 10 (1809) March 13th update, my PC does not go to sleep. I've reset the monitor and PC sleep times with no luck.

I've reviewed and attempted all the on-line suggestions again with no luck. Does anyone have any new (post March 13) suggestions?

  3. My pc is going to sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity

    Hi Sebastian,

Your PC might be set to sleep once it is idle for 5mins. For you to adjust this setting, we suggest looking into the
Power Options advanced settings. Follow these steps:

    • Open Control Panel and click on Power Options.
    • On your Preferred plans, click Change plan settings.
    • Click Change advanced power settings.
    • Expand Sleep and System unattended sleep timeout.
    • Set how many minutes you want your system to be left idle before it goes to sleep.

Let us know how it turns out.

    Regards.
