  2. Win Mo 6.1 keeps saying "There has been a change made on your server that requires you to re-synchronize all items on your device. Please perform a manual sync."

I think Eric said it about the best way Andy. I do not use Exchange but have had similar issues using my regular sync account. Sometimnes starting fresh with a clean sync works .... it is a PITA.

  3. Win Mo 6.1 keeps saying "There has been a change made on your server that requires you to re-synchronize all items on your device. Please perform a manual sync."

    Quote from Linley Meslier:

But I recommend you do a copy of a file called Pim. This file is stored in the phone memory and contains your Calendar, contacts and Tasks data. Store a copy to the storage card. Pim is a read only file, so the system won't let you delete it. Rename the file
instead and then put it on your card. After you've done that, go ahead and delete the partnership and click OK when you get the warning. After you remove the partnership, reboot your device. Delete the partnership on the PC also and reboot. Before re-connecting
your device, Rename the PIM file on your phone. Copy the one you saved to th sd card back to it original location. It is important that you reboot your device. After the reboot, check that your data has been restored. Connect to your PC to sync. Hope this
helps. Let me know if something is not clear.

I suggest you delete the partnership again. Do not reboot yet. On the device, go to Start - Settings - System - Device ID. Change the name of the device. Make sure you write down the previous name just in case. Then reboot the device and connect again to sync.
Let me know if you get the same error.

    Hi Reddwarf4ever.

Within this tutorial, Option 1, it explains using /Source in step 6 and 7. I assume you have a source to restore from, either ISO or USB key for your version.

Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image

  5. Hello
thanks for the link to the tutorial, never thought to check for this....from my research it appeared that the option 5 using online in the command, did not require windows source files, but did an online repair......as it now appears I must provide my own own windows 10 reference files I will try this again.....
thanks....maybe upgrading to creator version will resolve the problems.....

Sorry about my language. When I said you need windows what I should have said was a working version of windows.

Given your error message I wasn't sure Windows was actually functioning.

If Windows is operational and you can navigate to the setup exe it should load and should be a fast way to get things resolved. I used the Media Creator tool. Plugged it in and ran setup.

    thanks

  10. UPDATE, problem not gone away......still shutting down occaisonly...

    just noticed two things.

1-doesn't seem to happen in safe mode
2- just now it was fine till I moved the mouse, then said it would restart any ideas ???

    thanks

  11. Interesting that it does not happen if Safe mode. I would have said mouse driver but the standard driver is likely loaded in safe and normal boot.

This procedure helps to isolate software issues and as it doesn't happen in Safe (where only the basics are loaded) i would give it a try.

Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts

The other major difference between safe and normal is the video driver and the video driver has to show you mouse. Have you updated video driver. I would try this and I would also try an older video driver.

No. It will introduce a new problem. 15063.0 is OK, but as soon as a cumulative update is installed DISM RestoreHealth will fail, saying 'cannot find source files'. This is a error in DISM, there are no actual errors that need to be corrected. This has apparently already been reported on the Feedback Hub - we await a fix from Microsoft.

Creators update component store shows corruption but unable to repair

Bit confused about dism procedure.....the one brink showed in a tutorial refers to $wimdows, is this my installed Windows ? I downloaded a new 10 ISO and have the .esd file, can I use that ? And if so how ?

Going to try the clean boot method, may show the issue...

  15. Couldn't see an easy solution to getting the services started...so,restored an image I created on the 11th April....this is now the anniversary edition as I updated to the creator edition free the 11th.....it started ok, but still has the shutdown issue, so I did a clean boot......as per tenforum guide, now it boots normally, but I found many MS startup services disabled.....can't remember how this happened, wonder if that's why my pc has been shutting down......could a Trojan rootkit or virus mess around with my startup items.....?

so will monitor and see if shutdown issue has gone. ...
    thanks 4 now
