Windows 10: PC keyboard? freaking out without any input

I’ve had no issues with this until I wanted to clean my keyboard, and just went to the windows lock screen while I used a wipe so that all the button mashing wouldn’t cause any problems, but unfortunately it seems what’s where my issue started.I was able to log back in just fine, but anything else I tried to type in, no matter the application, didn’t work and was behaving as if the control key was pushed down.I checked if I had any sticky keys, but there were none, tried pressing the control key twice, pressing both control keys at once, but found no solution. I then pulled up the onscreen key

Language keyboard input doesn't equal output

Language input may vary depending on the Input method set on your keyboard settings. To sort your concern, we suggest that you check if the desired input is set correctly by following these steps:

• Type in Language and keyboard options on the search box.
• Select the desired language that you're trying to set up.
• Once you've selected the language, select Options.
• Under Keyboards, select Microsoft IME and click
  Options.
• Scroll down and select Open advanced settings.
• A window will pop up. Under General tab, click the drop-down arrow for
  Input method and select the desired input.
• Click OK.

  Add an input method.
