PC Lagging

Hi, my name is Mateo I am 12 years old and I am from Romania, I don't know if my translation is correct because I translated it with Google Translate, today I was playing on the computer and my father said that I have to take an hour break, after that when I went back to the computer when I got into games for example Counter Strike Global Offensive, I saw that I move hard, in the sense when I press W to go forward it was hard, and if I wanted to press CTRL the button is pressed after at least 5 seconds, I asked a friend and he said that I have to reinstall my Windows but I don't know that this and I wouldn't have money as a child, I tried to reset the computer but in vain. I want to mention that when I want to hold down CTRL + A to copy something I wrote it is not selected, I almost started to cry that I lost all the files on the computer for nothing, good day, I hope to be helped.

:)

Random lag spikes

Hi,

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Looking forward to your response.

3. PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
• Install system in case
• Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
• run realtemp at the same time
• While in Prime95 test
• if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
• if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
• if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
What do you guys think??

Windows 10 lags

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand how difficult it is when the PC doesn’t perform the way it should be. We were checking the lag issue, but
in order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below.

• What is the Windows 10 version and Build installed? (Type
winver in Windows search/Run command)
• How much is the CPU and Disk usage showing in Task Manager, also check if any particular program is having high CPU and Disk usage?

We would suggest you to refer the steps as suggested in this article (Exclude step 10):
Tips to improve PC performance in Windows 10

Meanwhile, put the PC in Clean Boot and see if you still get the PC lagging issue. Refer the article

How to perform a clean boot in Windows
. A ‘clean boot’ starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. If the settings app is working fine in Clean Boot then please refer the section
How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to determine the root cause of the issue.

Note: After you finish troubleshooting, follow the section
Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to reset the computer to start normally.
