Windows 10: PC lags when disconnecting from ethernet/Wi-Fi

This has only started happening when I updated my pc to Windows 11. When the ethernet is connected my computer runs fairly smoothly, but then it occasionally disconnects and results on my computer freezing and lagging to the point where it's unusable. Sometimes it'll reconnect on its own, sometimes it won't. I've updated my drivers and checked my ethernet cable. I also did a factory reset so the storage is fine. Is there any other way to fix this?CPU: IntelR CoreTM i3-3240 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHzRAM: 4.00GB

Wi-Fi disconnect

Windows doesn't disconnect a properly working WiFi. Mine NEVER disconnects since the last time I restarted my computer. I suggest to check for near-by WiFi radios to see if your channel is too crowded or if all the channels are crowded, just switch to 5 GHz band like mine

 

Unable to reconnect to Wi Fi after disconnecting it

hi, Wi-Fi will ONLY CONNECT ONCE to a modem

the issue is: if I disconnect the Wi-Fi, it will disconnect. BUT IT WILL NOT RE-CONNECT without a full restart. it just lags & freezes = even the same Wi-Fi that was using.

I know its not the modem as my old PC would disconnect & re-connect many times

its very simple Wi-Fi , no VPN , just personal home use

WI-FI Disconnected

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried ALL those steps. I have taken a screen shot of my problem. My network adapter is up to date and ISP is working properly. I'm using an ethernet connection right now. Here is my issue:

You will see in the picture below that the Wi-Fi button is off. I can turn it on, but it doesn't turn the wi-fi on or stay in the on position. When I troubleshoot it says to select the "wi-fi" button on my keyboard or turn the switch on. I have
no switch, and the "wi-fi" button only turns on the "airplane mode"
