Windows 10: PC lock up, while playing games.

Hello.

New PC build in February and have been having random crashes only while games are running, I can not recreate the situation, crashes are sometimes days apart and other times I will get several in the same day.

The crash is, PC will lock up completely as if a screenshot has been taken (no distortion at all) a small sound burp from the speakers (approx 3 seconds) then after approx 15 secs the PC sounds as if it is restarting but it doesn't and the screen goes black. I then have to hard reset the PC.

On May 6th I had 1 BSOD show up in the Reliability Monitor and there was only 1 Minidump file for this which I posted over at the Microsoft Community and was told that it was the GPU Drivers causing the crash, I had the latest drivers installed but I was advised that I should go to MSI website and install their recommended drivers, this was a much older driver but i did it anyway and this resulted in the PC running for 20 days with no issue at all, I thought the issue was solved but on day 21 it crashed, 2 days later it crashed again and has now crashed everyday for the last 3 days.

It was searching the Microsoft Community that someone suggested posting here.

Things I have tried.

AMD drivers , 19.3.3, 19.4.1, 19.4.3, 19.4.4
Currently Using 19.1.1 dated January, this is the one that ran for 20 day no issues.

Replaced PSU, originally had a 650w Antec Bronze and replaced with EVGA 850w Gold
this was because the crashes listed in the reliability monitor were showing live kernel error.

I would be very grateful if anyone could shed any light on this.

In order to assist properly, kindly answer the following questions:

• On which website are you trying to play the game? What is the title of the game?
• Have you tried using other browsers like Edge?
• What error message are you getting?
• Can you provide more details on the troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?
• Are you experiencing that same thing using other PCs?

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

Did you check the game compatibility with Windows 10?

I would suggest you to go through the below steps:

Steps: Try to run the program in compatibility mode:

• 
  Right click on the game icon through which you launch the game.
  
• 
  Click on properties.
  
• 
  Click on compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Check the box, run this program in compatibility mode and select the previous operating system.
  
• 
  Click on apply and then ok.
