Windows 10: PC locks up randomly (No BSOD)

Not sure if my title is too vague, but here is my issue. Recently built a new PC, running Win 10 pro. Had issue with graphics card and removed to RMA it. Got new CPU to utilize integrated graphics ports. Every once in a while (about once or twice a week) PC will lock-up, meaning the mouse will freeze and the keyboard will not work. Thought it may be the wireless mouse/keyboard, so connected wired inputs. Not the problem as far as I can tell. Last time it occurred, I went into event viewer and found FUFAXSTM.exe and FUFAXLDB.dll in the error list. Not sure why my Epson printer FAX utility would cause issues, but I uninstalled the program (don't have phone line anyway). Like I said, it is random, so I never know when it will occur again. I'm running the Windows Defender program and Malwarebytes, but am not sure if these are enough to check for viruses or trojans. Is this issue (FUFAX) a known issue, or am I just being paranoid?

I apologize for not running the DM log collector. It wasn't a BSOD per se.

BSoD on Windows 10

I was just sitting on PC today looking at youtube and talking to some friends and suddenly the BSoD appears. My pc turned off and then i turned it on again. I restarted and as i restarted i got the BSoD again. I then started my pc up again and shut it
down, the BSoD didn't appear. For some reason when i restart my PC i get the BSoD however when shutting down i don't. It has only happened once randomly but i am writing this straight after it happened. HELP!

 

The logs showed that the FAX utility crashed mainly in the period of 27th to 29th March.

Have there been any more freezes since you removed the FAX utility?

I use WD and Malwarebytes and have never felt the need for anything else, I also use common sense and do not open things that are suspicious or click on links that I am unsure of.

 

Thank you for your response. So far, I haven't had it lock up since I removed the FAX utility. I follow the same philosophy when it comes to websites and unknown links. Thanks again!
