Windows 10: PC Login showing wrong name and won't accept microsoft password

When starting my PC, the login screen shows a profile named "Thomas" with my profile picture. This is normally "Tj". It won't accept my windows password and can't do a system restore without it either. So I'm locked out of my PC.


I have logged into another PC with my windows profile with no problems. I haven't changed anything on my own PC and there has only ever been one profile on it.

Changed my Microsoft account password but windows login keeps accepting old password

Hi,

I have a Microsoft account (to be specific, it's a Passport account. I created it with a gmail account) and I recently changed my password and activated two-step verification with Microsoft Authenticator app.

The new password works perfectly in any web page, but doesn´t work when I try to login in my notebook. Windows login keeps accepting old password, and doesn´t accept the new one.

Am I doing something wrong or this is some kind of bug?

After Windows 10 update, signin screen won`t accept my pssword.

Sign-in screen won`t take my password after Windows 10 update on a new HP laptop. I had setup a pin login but now asks for Microsoft password which I wrote down and have used before but will not accept now.

Password not accepted on live login

I'm unable to login to my PC, my password is not accepted, I'm using Microsoft live login, so I reset my password on line. New password works with all devices, so it's been changed. But still I'm unable to login in to my PC, except by using Safe Mode,
although my password is the pre changed one. I can't change from live login to local login as option to change is not displayed.
