Windows 10: PC merged & replicated? important data folders, need help fixing..

Hello. I was trying to send my User profile's documents, videos etc.. to another drive to free up space through the "Locations" tab under properties. Something has still gone wrong. I now have two F drives each with the same contents, and by the picture it seems my videos folder has been linked somehow. I'd really appreciate some help in getting things reformatted correctly.Here is what the F drives look like-

WIndows 10, copy/merge folder dialog option backwards?

Steps to Reproduce

• Set Windows Explorer Options to "Hide folder merge conflicts" unchecked
  
• Create a folder called folderA
  
• Create a folder called folderB
  
• Copy folderA to folderB
  
• Move folderA to folderB
  

Actual

• Nothing happens
  

Now try this:

• Set Windows Explorer Options to "Hide folder merge conflicts" checked
  
• Create a folder called folderA
  
• Create a folder called folderB
  
• Copy folderA to folderB
  
• Move folderA to folderB
  

Actual

• The merge dialog appears
  

QUESTIONS:

• Shouldn't setting "Hide folder merge conflicts" to be unchecked mean that the dialog should appear, rather than the opposite?
  
• If there is a merge conflict, is is normal for it to fail silently?
  

 

Upgraded to Windows 10, can't located important data folders.

As per the issue description you are unable to find old data of your computer. Here are the steps which might help you to find them out.

• Press the Windows key.
• Type This PC in the search box.
• Double click on C drive.
• Now you will see the Windows.old folder.
• Click on users in which you had the data.
• You will able to see all of your data.

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
