Windows 10: PC Monitor Shuts off when starting up games.

I’ve had my PC for over a year now and it’s been working great. But the other day I started up one of the only games I play and after around 5 minutes my screen and sound shut off. When I say the screen shut off it went black but I could tell it was still on. It was like a dark blue/black and when I actually turned the monitor off and back on the same screen was there. My pc was still running and the lights were all on to my keyboard and mouse as well. I‘m able to do literally anything on my computer besides load into this game and other games do the same exact thing.The only I can do to fix t

For a better clarity on the issue, please answer the below questions;

• Please specify the game you are having issue with?
• Are you getting any error messages while opening the game?
• Also, did you download the game from windows Store?

For workaround, I would suggest you to follow the below steps and see if the issue can be resolved.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search next to start on the desktop.
  
• Click on View All on left side and select Windows Store Apps.
• Follow the onscreen instructions.

Windows 10 Gaming, set what monitor a games start on, permanently.

I have been wracking my brain for this. Some games start on the primary monitor all the time. That is great, you are the OS. You should tell the game where to start, or I should at least have that option in the OS that I paid for to enable that setting.
There is no setting. I am not switching my primary monitor whenever I want to to play a game in 4K 60hz(monitor 2). If I want to play a game in 1440p 144Hz(monitor 1) I have to switch my primary monitor. Being that Windows is such a huge gaming platform
for PC and the integration of Xbox, you would thing that you made a setting somewhere in the app list in settings that tells the program what monitor to start on, always. I paid 180 bucks for this Windows 10 license, I am primarily a Linux user, please make
it happen, thank you

If there is a setting like this already built in, guidance on where it is would be located would be greatly appreciated.

We really appreciate your patience. Let me give you few more troubleshooting steps which might apply to your situation and ascertain the cause of the issue.

• Try removing all the external peripheral devices including all usb drives except keyboard, mouse and monitor and check.
• Try to shut down the computer while forcing the running applications and check the results in the subsequent restart. Follow the below steps.
  

• 
  Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
  
• 
  In Command prompt type
  shutdown -s -f and press enter.
  

If it still does not help, try to view the Event IDs in Event Viewer to check for specific events triggering the issue.

To view activities in Windows, I suggest you to open the Event Viewer. To do so, follow the below steps.

• Go to the Control Panel and choose to click on the
  Administrative Tools icon.
• The above action will open up a new window of the Administrative Tools where you will see the
  Event Viewer.
