Windows 10: pc monitor Sounds stops working after 1 hour of use

So my monitor has a built in speaker called MSI high definition audio, everything was going well for 2 months then suddenly when i was minding my business the sounds stop working. I checked and the sound setting seemed to be fine. All my drivers are up to date so what could be wrong? Troubleshoot was basically useless and even though there is no sounds, the sound waves says its receiving audio just fine and going up and down smoothly. I tried to reset my pc but that did not work. However the next day, the audio started working again but an hour later the sound goes off. The same repeat happene

To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• When will the sound disable, when playing through main monitor or the extended monitor?
• Did you try enabling the sound from the sound drivers and check if it helps?
• Since from when are you facing this issue?

This issue causes because the monitor automatically takes the HDMI sound as the Default input. Disable and enable the speakers and check if it helps.

I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

• Right click on the volume control and then
  Properties,
• When you connect the HDMI it becomes the default output device, even though it has no speakers.
• You need to change this back to "Speakers" and set as default.

Sound Not Working when connecting monitor via HDMI

As per the information provided, I suggest that you follow the steps below and check if the sound protrudes through the system.

1. Right click on the Sound Icon located on the notification area, and select Playback Devices.

2. Here while the monitor is plugged to the PC, select your monitor device.

3. Here highlight the device and click on Properties.

4. On the next window, under Device Usage, select Don't use this device (Disable).

5. Once done, follow steps 1 - 3, and instead of clicking on Properties click on Configure.

6. Follow the on screen instructions and check

2 monitors with sound, only 1 sound option

I used to use AOC I2476VWM that contains a 3.5mm jack output as the one and only monitor connected via HDMI (on both sides). Now, I added a Samsung TV as a second monitor. I reconnected the monitor to use DVI on the PC side and HDMI on the monitor side and used the HDMI port on PC for the TV (so HDMIs on both sides).

The problem is, the computer still displays the monitor only as a sound device (even though it's not even connected that way anymore) - you can see the Sound control panel here - so I can't send audio to the TV speakers. How can I play audio via the TV then?

What I tried:

• Set every option in the control panel as the default device.
  
• Change the main monitor so that the TV is the main one.
  
• Enable and disable different options.
  
• Reinstall the AMD Radeon drivers.
  
• Unplug the monitor altogether -> this one works! The Sound control panel then displays the same option (the TV icon and "AMD High Definition Audio Device") but named after the TV. But if I reconnect the monitor again, it switches back to it the next restart.
  
• Set only to display content on the TV or duplicate the screen -> this one also sometimes works. The other times it stop displaying any digital sound output. In case it's working, it still switches back after the restart.
  

I use:

• AMD A10 (I went through the AMD Radeon settings but I found nothing seemingly related)
  
• ASRock A88M-G/3.1 motherboard
  
• Windows 10 64-bit, version 1803
  
• AMD Radeon drivers 18.2.1
  

What I think is left to try:

• Connect the monitor through a DVI-VGA cable - I don't have one lying around at the moment
  
• Reinstall Windows - I'd like to do that as the last resort
