Windows 10: PC not detecting earphones

Hello!
Ever since I got my PC about a month ago, I've been having issues with the sound. When I plug in my earphones, I can't hear anything at all.


I tried using 3 pairs of earphones. One sort of worked for a second, but with barely audible and bad quality sound, then it just stopped working

Re-installing the audio drivers didn't help anything


They don't show up at all here, and I don't have any speakers...

What can I do?

Earphone mic not being detected

Maybe as a work around you could use a Y spliter. Where you plug in your headphones into it and the other ends will go in your mic and earphone ports on your pc/laptop. Yes i understand they are combo ports but i'm just suggesting this as a workaround till you can find drivers that makes the combo port work correctly.
Here is the cable i was talking about. You don't have to use it but just a suggestion as a workaround and as a last resort.

Earphone mic not being detected

The driver from Acer makes the situation even worse, it installs Realtek driver which doesn't show output and input device and the earphones become useless.
