Windows 10: PC not getting proper download speeds, but phone is

Hi,


I have 15Mbps download speed and all this time the fastest speed I've seen it go is 1.3Mbps. Actually, the only time I've seen it in the 7-8Mb range was downloading from the Microsoft Store (which is strange to me). Anywhere else, it always caps at about 1.3Mbps.


So I just got a new phone and I'm noticing the download speed on it right now, 7.4Mbps. Now why is it that this phone is getting a faster speed than my PC? My network drivers are up to date and I'm directly connected.


I know certain programs/websites are brought down to lower speeds at times, but getting <10% speed at best doesn't make any sense.


Any help would be appreciated.

Slow Download Speed

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"
• I've tried all the below steps suggested by Eeshwar Kumar in this link: Why is Windows Store's download speed so slow?
• And also all by Jane La in the below: Microsoft Store Very Low Download Speeds
