  1. PC not recognizing device as 3.0 SuperSpeed

Hi, I have an Audient ID14 MKII sound interface that should be connected to a Type C or Type A 3.0 port USB. My PC doesn't have Type C port which is the port on the interface so I buyed a Type C-Type A 3.2 Gen1 cable. Now, when I connect the device on a 3.2 Gen1 port in my PC, the software that monitors USB behaviors says that is a 2.0 HighSpeed device and cannot support SuperSpeed. Also, this is a problem because the interface needs, in theory, 900mA to function properly and USB 2.0 only gives 500mA but the interface is working properly, which confuses me somehow. What is happening here?

    :)

USB 3.0 devices not (really) operating at superspeed under Windows 10

    Hi,

I just did a fresh install of Windows 10 and am having problems getting my USB 3.0 devices to work at superspeed.

This is what I figured out so far

    • Under Windows 7 all the devices work correctly at superspeed all the time

    • Under Win 10 the USB 3.0 controller is visible in the device manager
    • If I uninstall the drivers for all the USB devices and reboot the machine the devices are working @ superspeed
    • If I reboot again, the devices are still working @ superspeed
    • If I shutdown the machine completely and restart it, superspeed is gone and the devices only work @ highspeed
    • If I uninstall the drivers and reboot superspeed it is once again until I power off the machine
So what can I do about it? Uninstalling the drivers everytime I want to use an USB 3 device is obviously not a viable option. Reinstalling Windows 10 didn't help either. I've run out of ideas...

    Regards

    Simon

Generic superspeed usb hub error after 1809 update

    Hi CerenDemirci,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    • Can you access the USB from Windows explorer?

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43), this error is an indication of corrupted loaded drivers. By default, Device Manager only displays drivers of
connected devices, sometimes windows can get "confused" with the old drivers in the system. I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and let us know if it is fixed.

    Method 1: Install Generic driver.

    1. Connect one of the USB hubs.
    2. Press Windows and
R key together on your Keyboard.
    3. Type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.
    4. Right click on the Generic super speed USB hub.
    5. Click on Update Driver.
    6. Click on Browse my computer.
    7. Select Browse, navigate to: C:\Windows\winsxs when it asks for the driver location.
    8. Click on Install to install the Windows generic file.

Method 2: Uninstall and reinstall Driver.

I would suggest you to follow the steps
provide by Aswin_Ananad on 6th April 2016. For more information, check the Microsoft article on

Some USB Devices not recognized in Windows 10

Hi have Windows 10 Pro insider preview 10532 64bit Pro Intel i7 desktop PC.

I have multiple USB devices connected, USB 3 & 2. The USB HDD is working however my Samsung phone and kindle are no longer being recognized. The steps followed so far:

    • Uninstalled all USB devices in device manager including controllers
    • Flashed BIOS to latest version
    • Updated USB drivers for the devices from manufacturers sites
    • Tried new USB cables

Please note: both devices are recognized by my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop.

I really don't want to fresh install, please suggest any diagnostics I can try.

    Thanks
