PC not sleeping since last update, also getting the odd BSOD

Ever since updating, my pc refuses to sleep when left idle. Supposedly it may be an issue with a windows update process, but I've not been able to verify.

I have also encountered 2 random blue screens.

It's a very new build, but was running flawlessly, without either issue.

Specs are Ryzen 5900x paired with an Nvidia rtx 3080.

Any others had these problems, or are there any recommended fixes?

  2. BSOD due to netadaptercx.sys after waking the PC from Sleep

    Hi Prakhar,

The steps you suggested did not solve the problem. I am still experiencing the BSOD when waking the computer from sleep. If you have an other suggestions they'd be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Chris

HP Laptop will not sleep AFTER approx. 10 minutes of use - Windows 10

Hi. Tried both these steps. Neither worked. Any suggestions please?

It seems odd that it will sleep if I log-in and choose sleep within 15 mins (approx.). Anything longer and it gets stuck.

    Getting out of sleep

    Hi,

For us to further isolate the issue you are experiencing, kindly respond to the following questions:

    • Does your device automatically returns to sleep after a short period of time?
    • Have you made any significant changes prior to the issue?
We suggest that you check if the Allow wake timers setting is enabled. To check if it is enabled, follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start button, then type power options.
    • Click Power Options from the results.
    • On the Power Options windows, click Change when the computer sleeps.
    • Click Change advanced power settings.
    • Expand the Sleep category.
    • Expand Allow wake timers.
    • Change the desired setting.

We look forward for an update from you.

    Regards.
