Windows 10: PC not visible in W10 network

I have 2 PCs on my home network, call them A & B. On PC A under network in Windows Explorer both PCs are visible and A can access shared folders on B. On PC B under network in Windows Explorer only B is visible and A is not visible. A had a recent reinstall of W10.I have done all the usual stuff such as setting discovery and file sharing to on and updating drivers. Followed all the threads I can find about Windows services settings. Nothing works. I know this is a common problem because there are so many threads about it but none of them seems to provide a solution. Tried Windows live supp

1 was not enabled. I enabled it and restarted the HT-PC, but now the HT-PC is not visible in Network list on any computer.

...then i run 2 and both was true.

Next step?

 

W10 network works one way only (both PCs not visible)


Reader's Digest version: Both of us are on the same network through an Asus RT-AC56R router. Both are running Windows 10, fully patched, checked w/ Belarc. My network is visible to her system and public files accessible. Hers, and the usb printer on her PC are NOT visible at all to my side of the network. It's as though her system isn't on the network.

Every setting in network sharing matches. I've checked several times to be certain both PCs have the exact same Advanced Network Sharing settings.

I am also running Linux Mint 64-bit as a dual boot. Needless to say, networking using Linux is PERFECT. Any suggestions?

PC recognition on W10 Network often needs a reboot

I am using a W10 Home Peer to Peer network, Often a remote PC needs to be rebooted to be visible on the 'network' on other PC's Is there a way to automate this - like all PC's restarting something regulary?
