PC Occasionally shut down within 30-45 seconds of booting up and then restarts on its own

Hello,I have been having this occasional issue where my Win 10 PC will shut down and then reboot itself within about 30 seconds of the initial boot. No BSOD or anything. It also only does it within that first 30-45 seconds. If it doesn't crash then, it won't crash at all. My suspicion is that there is a bad driver or something somewhere but I don't know how to evaluate that theory. I do see errors in the event logger but no smoking gun.At first I thought the issue was my external SSD being bad, but it has happened even with it being disconnected. I also turned off the Windows fast boot option

    :)

Shut Down Takes ~5 seconds, Restart Takes ~30 seconds

Well, I realize that I made a joke before... but shut down really is a LOT faster. On a regular restart, I'd say 85% of the time is on the start up, the rest ofc, being the shutdown. Also, it depends a lot on what kind of drive you have Windows installed on. For me, on a 2.5" SSD it takes me about 40 seconds to do a restart. Another thing that slows startup is a lot of startup programs, like on the Startup tab in Task Manager. This is my list, for example...

Also... in CCLeaner under Tools > Startup, there are four tabs showing everything that starts when Windows does. Like just on this one tab, I could disable these items...

And I'd have to research it, but I could probably disable this as well...

I have UAC disabled in Windows, so I'm not sure whether, this is necessary or not.

Shut Down Takes ~5 seconds, Restart Takes ~30 seconds

Okay, so far this is what I have done. I have Classic Shell installed, so I thought there may be something wrong with the "restart" command. 1) Control + Alt + Delete -> Restart (took ~30 seconds) 2) Control + Alt + Delete -> Shut Down (very fast) 3) Gave it some thought while in the process of the two above. Thought maybe a Restart straight from a Startup would go faster? After the computer started up from the previous Shut Down, went straight to: Control + Alt + Delete -> Restart (Nope. 30 seconds) [the 3 steps above imply that Classic Shell was NOT interfering at all] I looked at the commands that Classic Shell has, and I can actually edit the "shutdown" command to do "shutdown /r". I wanna try that out! Because that means the computer will Shut Down, and Startup. Let me try that. I'll post back. Posting back: So far I've tried • shutdown /r [shows me the lame screen saying I'm about to be signed out and the computer will shut down in a minute. I skipped waiting, and Start -> Shut Down, pushed Desktop button for Startup]. • shutdown t 1 /r [shows that same screen for a second, then went to the "Restarting" screen. Took 30 seconds 'til it reached the BIOS screen • Lemme try yours: shutdown /r /fw (...nothing happens... ???) Okay... lemme look at other combos. Please post back if you have other combos. • shutdown /s /r [nothing happens] > I learned that Classic Shell has some combination of the "shutdown" command for restart, because the command for restart there is: restart I'm guessing it is probably: shutdown t 0 /r - - - Updated - - - Posting back again. (sorry NTN for the constant emails you're getting about updates to this thread.) I tried my version of: sfc /scannow a) Windows Settings -> Update & Security -> Recovery b) Press the Restart now button under Advanced startup c) Press Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> Restart d) Select: 6) Enable Safe Mode with Command Prompt e) Once the Command Prompt is displayed, type: sfc /scannow press Enter [found corruption. Posted in CBS file... not gonna go through that right now...] f) Once that process completes, press Control+Alt+Delete then press the Power button -> Restart (That restart took a long time) Computer started up normally, and I tried restarting it again. Nope. No fix. Gonna try: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase - - - Updated - - - My last post-back until someone else has other suggestions Open the Command Prompt as an Admin, pasted: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase It did its thing. Restarted (took its time to Restart). After the computer started up, tried to Restart again. No fix. Other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Shut Down Takes ~5 seconds, Restart Takes ~30 seconds

You're right, 30 second doesn't sound too bad when I think about it. So I went ahead and loaded the Stopwatch on my phone and once the "Restarting" screen showed up, with the spinning dots, it took 1 minute 54 seconds until that screen disappeared. I was WAY off. If it actually was 30 seconds, I wouldn't be complaining at all. Hahaha my fault. But also, I don't have an account registered at Seven Forums, so it didn't let me download the batch file, yet I found another batch file by a Guru there which I was able to download somehow. Here's its results:

Pretty bad. I am going to use the Stopwatch to measure the Shut Down screen with the dots. Posting back really soon: Back.. that time it took 3 seconds. Shut Down takes such a short time.
