Windows 10: PC on bootup and when logging in to windows Randomly Stutters and audio glitches out.

Hello,A while ago my GPU decided it no longer wanted to work in 16x bandwidth and I assumed that my motherboard was the problem as I tried a different GPU and the pc would never post whilst with any GPU in the 16x slot so I got a new motherboard and that fixed the posting issue however now randomly would stutter constantly when in the 16x slot still so I attempted to fix this by going in to the BIOS and switching the bandwidth from 16x to 8x which fixed the constant stuttering problem and audio glitches however occasionally on start up and when logging in to windows the pc would only display 1

Audio stuttering after wake

Knowing that you have problems with your audio after waking up from sleep, you can try the following suggestions:



1. Check for Hardware Conflicts:

• Open Device Manager.
  
• Expand the “System devices” category.
  
• Look for any devices with yellow exclamation marks or error messages.
  
• If you find any conflicts, try disabling or uninstalling the conflicting devices.
  

2. Test with External Audio Device:

• Connect an external audio device, such as headphones or speakers, to the computer.
  
• If the audio stuttering persists, it suggests a problem with the Realtek audio device or its drivers.
  

3. Disable Audio Enhancements:

• Go to Control Panel > Sound.
  
• Select the Realtek audio device as the playback device.
  
• Click on the “Properties” button.
  
• Go to the “Enhancements” tab.
  
• Uncheck all the enhancement options.
  

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Gigabyte support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or replace the audio device if necessary.

Video and audio stuttering

Hi,

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to assist you in resolving your stuttering issue with Video and Audio. I would suggest you follow the below fixes one by one to resolve the issue.

Fix #1:

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type CMD

Step 2:

Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator

Step 3:

Type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic and press enter.

Step 4:

Restart PC and Verify

Fix #2:

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type Troubleshoot

Step 2:

Click on Troubleshoot

Step 3:

Then select Video Playback and click Run the Troubleshooter

Step 4:

Restart PC

Fix #3:

Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type Troubleshoot

Step 2:

Click on Troubleshoot

Step 3:

Then select Audio Playback and click Run the Troubleshooter

Step 4:

Restart PC

Audio Stuttering/Glitching

We appreciate you sharing with us those information. However, we would like to know more details about the issue you're experiencing for us to be able to give you the best troubleshooting steps for it:

• Is your Windows 10 updated?
  
• When did the issue start? What were the recent changes made before the issue started?
  
• Have you tried reinstalling your sound driver?
  

In the meantime, let's run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter to find and repair problems with your devices and hardware:

• Right-click the Start icon, then select Control Panel.
  
• Choose the Large icons option from the View by drop down list found on the upper-right part of the Control Panel window.
  
• Locate then select Troubleshooting.
  
• Click View all from the left pane.
  
• Locate and click Hardware and Devices to run the troubleshooter then follow the next steps.
  

You can also consider running the Playing Audio Troubleshooter for further repair.
