Windows 10: PC Overnight having massive problems

Hello, I am an online gamer, and have a beast of a PC that shouldn't be having any issues. Seemingly overnight, I ran into some pretty severe problems. I attempted to load into a game, and got a black screen, permanent loading screen, and had to end of force shutting down because cntrl+alt+dlt did not change my screens. I left it alone hoping the issues would resolve in the morning and maybe the ISP was having issues. I tried to get on a game the next day on a cool PC and turning it on from being shut off after an extended period, and the game was spiking at moments to 2 FPS, but the GPU stres

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I would suggest you to run
System Maintenance Troubleshooter and check if it helps:

• Press Windows + X key.　
• Select Control panel.
• In the search box, type Troubleshooter and then click
  Troubleshooting.
• Under System and Security,
• Click on System Maintenance and Click on Next button.

Method 2: I suggest you to start you system in safe mode and check if the issue persist or not.

To start your system in safe mode follow the below steps:

• Press and hold Shift key and restart your Computer.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• Select Advance Option.
• Select Startup Settings.
• Follow the on Screen instruction.

Having periodic PC startup problems

Was not able to reply sooner because my periodic problem decided not to appear for a while. I tried your suggestion of holding down the power button 4-5 seconds and it worked. Problem is that this method did not cure my original problem, of course, but it did lessen the steps I have to take to get the computer to work properly. I am still hoping someone will have a solution other than wiping it clean then starting over again.

 

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
