Windows 10: PC partially freezes and becomes unfunctional

Hello, While browsing YouTube today, the video suddenly froze. Chrome could be minimized and maximized. Task Manager wouldn't open, and CTRL+ALT+DEL didn't work. Initially, the keyboard was functioning; the Windows menu would open and close when I pressed the Windows key. Then the keyboard stopped working, leaving only the mouse functional. CMD would open, but the command prompt wouldn't allow any input; the CMD window would just open and close. After 2-3 minutes, the PC restarted itself. This happened twice on the same day. To assist you better, I would like to know whether you had installed any third party security application.

This issue may arise due to the following reasons:

1. Driver conflicts or get outdated.

2. Malware attacks.

3. Multiple programs running at a same time.

4. Application conflicts.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows update and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to run
System Maintenance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

  • Select Troubleshooting and hit Enter.
  • Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
  • Select System Maintenance.

Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

PC Freezes

Hello,

To isolate your Windows 10 freezing issue, kindly answer the following questions:

• Aside from this error, are you also getting other error codes or messages?
• Where do you usually experience this freezing issue? Is it during startup?
• Other troubleshooting steps you've tried so far?

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
