Windows 10: PC Performance feels downgraded/Slow/Games lagging/Frames freezes/Crashes-BSOD

It seems as though my entire gaming PC has taking a huge fall in performance. It starts off with transferring files from SSD/Phone to the internal hard drive. Normally it would take 15-20mins for a large file to transfer. Now the speed has droped to 300KBs saying it will take 8 hours for a 4gb file...This then leads to the whole PC performing completely slow. web browsing, windows explorer crashing. BSOD. Also recently I've noticed how games I normally play such as GTA Vand even COD: Black Ops 1 it took 1min to exit out the game and that was via task manager are lagging and freezing for a moment every now and then. I've got the latest drivers & software installed for my RADEON RX 5700 XT to go along with my RYZEN 7 3700X CPU. So I don't know what's triggered this issue all of sudden. Some have said that it has nothing to do with my GPU/CPU/Mobo and that it's either a virus/malware I've scanned my PC with AVAST it seems fine to me or SSD/HDD is dying, which I find hard to believe tbh. It feels like my whole PC ****o the point where selling is the only option I can think of at this point... It wasn't like this before and it's starting to really f**king annoy me. Help please! Slow game performance on Windows 10

It wasn't that at all in the end it proved to be the Pre-rendered frames setting in the NVidia driver.

Setting this to "1" eliminated the problem which was actually "input lag" and not slow performance although the end result on screen is the same.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
