Windows 10: PC Performance Issue

So basically here’s what I’ve been experiencing:

• Visible Highlight Lag when hovering on app icons
• High Idle CPU Temps (60-65c, i7 6700k)
• Windows Security Service error in between a full scan (the error occurs midway, i’m not sure for other scans though)

• Here are the possible causes for this:

• 
  Trojans I’ve got from torrents (Could be false positives, really can’t confirm)
  
  
• 
  Ants infiltration on my PC, (recently saw some ants climb up to my desk, monitor and keyboard. Killed em all now) although I have opened up the PC and there’s no signs of ants. The PC itself is pretty clean though, considering the fact that it’s been opened for the first time after 3 years.
  
  
• 
  Recently downloaded Hitman Pro after Windows scanned for trojans and this might’ve possibly interfered with Windows Security (refer to Windows Security issue)
  
  
• 
  Excessive Windows Security Full Scans (done this a couple of times because I can’t remove a virus)
  
  
• 
  Maybe something just fucked up and nothings actually wrong with my PC
  

• Other details:

• 
  I’ve tried deleting one specific trojan and Windows Security won’t do anything. I’m not actually sure if it remove it but when I click the remove button, it doesn’t do anything (The virus is: VirTool:Win32/Obfuscator.XZ)
  
  
• 
  Some of the viruses were failed to removed but these viruses were scanned prior to when I have began noticing these issues.

I haven’t turned on my PC for a week now because I’m quite scared to deal with the situation. I have also followed other guides on the internet on virus scans.

I really don’t want to resort to having my PC clean installed. I would love to fix these three issues I currently have. I appreciate the help and I hope I have given enough information. Ask me if you need more. Thanks a lot!

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
